An important aspect of high traffic areas is signage. Nowadays, the city needs to easily communicate important information to drivers as it arises. SolarMax’s Changeable Message Signs are used to display information about traffic congestion, maintenance operations, adverse weather conditions, roadway conditions, organized events or other highway features (e.g. toll booths, weigh stations etc.). LED traffic message signs are a necessity for high traffic areas, like freeways and highways.

BC FERRIES
BC Ferries is the largest ferry operator in North America. It moves more than 22 million passengers and 8 million vehicles each year, with 25 routes and 35 ferries throughout the west coast of BC. To connect with passengers and vehicles prior to boarding, they use overhead full-color LED Toll-Booth Electronic Displays. These are designed to provide destinations, ferry status, passenger information, and critical safety announcements to ensure smooth and safe boarding. The toll-booth traffic message sign allow the Toll-Booth operators to quickly select messages to be shown on the display. Meanwhile, central operators remotely monitor and control the displays. This is all done through a secure enclosed system with real-time display status and notifications performed 24/7. More than 70 displays are deployed and operated in major ferry terminals:
- Departure Bay Terminal
- Duke Point Terminal
- Horseshoe Bay Terminal
- Swartz Bay Terminal
- Tsawwassen Terminal
- Vesuvius Terminal
